FG Keep mum as Leah Sharibu Spends Fourth Year in ISWAP Custody

Leah Sharibu, a Dapchi schoolgirl, was kidnapped in Yobe State four years ago by members of the Islamic State’s West Africa Province, ISWAP.

Leah, who was abducted alongside 110 other students from the Government Girls Science and Technical College in Dapchi, has remained in captivity despite security agents’ efforts to rescue her.

While other students were rescued and reunited with their families, Leah Sharibu remains in the terrorists’ custody.

According to reports, ISWAP detained the young schoolgirl because she refused to comply with their demands and convert to Islam.

According to reports, the “heroine Christian” teen gave birth to her second child in captivity for one of the terrorists.
Nigerians had hoped to see Leah Sharibu among the insurgents who had recently surrendered to Nigerian troops after offensives against the terrorists, but their hopes were always dashed.

Recall that Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State claimed on February 10 that over 30,000 Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists had surrendered as a result of Nigerian military efforts.

It has been observed that, as the “Bring Back Our Girls” campaign has waned, the Federal Government has appeared hesitant to make efforts to rescue the schoolgirl.

Nigerian prophets, who are well-known for their constant prophecies, have also remained silent.

They have been unable to inform the world of the whereabouts of the “heroine Christian,” who reportedly refused to renounce her religion in order to regain her freedom.
