Former governor of Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi has condemned an attack on the Amichi Divisional Police Headquarters in the Nnewi-South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
This will be the first time, Peter Obi is taking to his twitter handle, to publicly condemn any attack in the South East, ever since the Unknown Gun Men, suspected to be members of IPOB|ESN started destroying government facilities and killing of innocent citizens, in the region.
Peter Obi was called out, after he took to his twitter handle to condemn the attack by terrorist on the Abuja Kaduna rail line, where about 8 passengers lost their lives.
He was called out because he has been silent on the ongoing mayhem in the South East perpetuated by the UGM.
This evening Peter Obi has shown concern, on the destruction of the Amichi Divisional Police Headquarters in the Nnewi-South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
in his reaction he said,
“The attack by hoodlums on the Amichi Divisional Police Headquarters in the Nnewi-South Local Government Area of Anambra State is condemnable.”
“It is even more worrisome that this attack on a Police station undergoing reconstruction from a previous destruction in 2020 is coming barely 24 hours after the headquarters of the same LGA was attacked and razed down with one fatality.”
“There can be no justification for taking human life and destroying infrastructure meant to serve the needs of the people, especially against the backdrop of scarce resources. -PO”
