The Nigerian Army is set to take delivery of 100 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs) from Abu Dhabi. This is coming after President Buhari’s trip to UAE.

This was made know on twitter by Ovienews, who said that the president was there, to equip the Nigerian troops, in the fight against insurgents.

Ovie said,

“Nigerian Army to take delivery of 100 Mine Resistant Ambush Protected Vehicles (MRAPs) from Abu Dhabi, in the aftermath of Buhari’s trip to UAE. Just as we did the last time the President was there,to equip troops in the fight against Boko Haram Terrorists and Bandit Terrorists.”

Ovie said, one of the advantages of President Buhari, negotiating the deal himself with the leaders in UAE as a former soldier and also an incumbent president, Is to purchase the Military vehicle at a reduced price.

He said,

“One of the advantages of negotiating the deal himself with the leaders of UAE as a former soldier and now President, is that Nigeria gets to buy the military vehicles at way-reduced prices that might not be possible without his presence there.”
