South East has less than 100 delegates to the coming PDP convention yet SE has at least 3 Presidential aspirants — Reno Omokri

Reno Omokri, who is the former aide to Ex President Good luck Jonathan, has adviced the elders in SE to convince their own sons to step down for who is the best in their zone.

He said this because the NW has almost 200 delegates, yet they have only one aspirant. He went on to say that it is not possible for a NW delegate to vote for a SE aspirant and leave the only one Presidential aspirant from NW

In his words, Reno said;

“By virtue of the Electoral Act, the SE has less than 100 delegates to the coming PDP Convention. Yet, the SE has at least 3 Presidential aspirants. The NW has almost 200 delegates. Yet the NW has only one aspirant. But when you explain this fact, they insult! As if insults win elections.”

“Politics is not a sentimental affair. If you approach politics sentimentally, you will lose out to those who pursue it with precise, cold hard facts. Sometime ago, I suggested that for the SE to have a fighting chance at getting the nomination, what Igbo elders ought to do is convince their own sons to step down for the best in their zone, so that their delegate votes will not be split, and thereby rendered USELESS. If you see the insult I got.”

“How would you expect a NW delegate to vote for one out of three SE aspirants, and leave the only NW Presidential aspirant? I know you call them Malam. But I lived with Malams in Sokoto. Malams may not have as much western academic training as you do, but he has centuries of Eastern Islamic almajirinci education. He understands strategy. His thinking is-You no fit step down for your brother, and you want make I leave my only NW brother to vote for you?”

“Anyway, I am repeating it now, because in one week, it will be too late. Oya, insult me!”
