Abolore Adegbola Akande, well known as 9ice, a prominent Nigerian singer, has explained why he will vote for Bola Tinubu, the APC’s presidential candidate.

The musician revealed in a recent interview that the former governor of Lagos captured his heart by asking for his phone number while he was performing on stage.

9ice claims that he had the chance to speak with Tinubu in person in Ibadan’s Mapo Hall during the second term campaign of former Oyo State Governor Abiola Ajimobi.

The singer, 9ice claimed that when he was on stage at the campaign—to which many celebrities were invited—Tinubu pointed and instructed his aide to get the singer’s phone number.

The politician originally pointed to actor Saidi Balogun who was standing behind him, according to 9ice, but the former Lagos governor maintained that he wanted his phone number.

The politician, according to the singer, informed him that he enjoys what he is doing as an artist and that he views it as a huge deal since he finds it hard to believe that someone as busy and well-known in society as Tinubu would ask for his number and be appreciative of his work.
