Godwin Emefiele, the governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has announced an extension of the of swapping old naira notes for new ones.
Emefiele disclosed that the announcement followed the approval of President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday, January 29.
According to the announcement, the new exchange period will last till February 10 with 7 days extra for Nigerians to return the old notes to the CBN, when the currency would have lost its legal tending.
