Ini Edo, a well-known Nollywood actress, has explained why the movie Shanty Town has nak*ed scenes.

According to thisweekng, some Nigerians have expressed strong opposition to the movie’s nak*ed scenes.

Ini Edo noted that given the focus of the tale is on crime and prostitution, it was difficult for the movie to be made without nude scenes in an interview with BBC Pidgin.

Without showing some se*x scenes, the mother of one said, it would be impossible to convey the message of the film effectively.

Shanty Town is a drama about crime and prostitution, and one can’t depict such a story without displaying nudity, according to Ini Edo, who played the character of “Inem.”

The actor said that getting naked wasn’t done to degrade anyone, but rather to make the movie appear more authentic.

The seasoned actor also criticized the excessive focus on a woman’s body and urged people to start viewing women’s bodies as merely God’s creations devoid of strange justifications.
