Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, the vice presidential candidate for the Labour Party, sobbed on Sunday during “The People’s Townhall,” which was hosted by Channels Television.

Thisweekng has learned that on Sunday, Yusuf Datti and his principal, Peter Obi, appeared live on television’s Town Hall series to outline their policies for the nation should they be chosen as president and vice president of Nigeria, respectively.

However, Yusuf Datti became emotional during the live broadcast and started crying as he discussed important topics.

The two-hour event was organized in collaboration with the Nigeria Civil Society Situation Room and its allies.

Yusuf Datti and Obi Obi was scheduled to speak further about what the government has in store for Nigerians in terms of security, health, and other pressing issues.

Thisweekng has learned that, in addition to the LP flagbearer and his running companion, other leading presidential contenders, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and Rabiu Kwankwaso of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) and their respective running mates, had already graced the townhall series.

Yusuf Datti discussed his political career and said, “Me and my family have suffered as a result of my efforts to save Nigeria. They deployed a variety of individuals to find me. If only they would have looked at me as a person, I would have been much happier.

“But you know, the thing that I was able to sort with the presidential and vice presidential candidate, I ended up suffering from a much lesser level.

“35 years ago at least, our Dad of blessed memory passed away. No one has ever insulted him until I joined elections for the presidency.

“No one has ever doesn’t it? It doesn’t happen anywhere in the world. You don’t insult people’s parents or families. It’s a huge price for anyone to pay,” Datti said crying on the live programme.
