Akpabio Wins Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial Seat

The former governor of Akwa Ibom state, Godswill Akpabio will return to the Senate in the coming dispensation.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared Akpabio as the winner of the Akwa Ibom North West Senatorial seat in Saturday’s election.

Senator Akpabio, an All Progressives Congress chieftain, defeated the candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Barr. Emmanuel Enoidem.

The former governor won the seat after recording 115,401 votes while his major rival, Barr. Enoidem recorded 69,838 votes.
