The opposition PDP has perfected plans to move hundreds of billions across the country in order to influence the outcome of the election, which they view as their last chance for survival.
As elections draw near and the President remains steadfast to the buying and selling of votes by both electors and parties, it appears that this resolve by the President has hit a brick wall.
It could be recalled that Thisweekng reported how a disgruntled whistleblower in the CBN informed us about how some top PDP stalwarts smuggled a whopping N50 billion Naira new notes out of the CBN in three consecutive nights.
Abuja Network News reveals that, their reporters have further uncovered that the funds where part of the N100 billion loan credit facility, which was applied for and hurriedly approved by the Delta State House of Assembly some days ago. That the said facility was converted to cash in the CBN with the help of two prominent directors under the supervision of another prominent director.
It could be recalled that last week national dailies reported how Governor Ifeanyi Okowa transmitted a letter to the the Delta state house of assembly requesting approval for a N100 billion credit facility, out of the N150 billion earlier approved Consolidated Syndicated Loan.
It could also be recalled that the Delta state House of Assembly through the speaker who is also the state’s Governorship candidate in the upcoming elections Honorable Sheriff Oborevwori announced that they have approved the said request by the governor less than 24hrs of receiving the letter.
Our whistle blower also confirmed to Abuja Network News that the said money came from the Zenith Bank account of the Delta state government and the monies were released in Instalments N15billion, N15 billion and N20 billion over the period of three days after series of negotiations between Delta state government representatives and the CBN officials.
Another insider who confided with our reporter said the money is meant to be disbursed to Northwestern and North central part of Nigeria as mobilisation fees also known as mobulus in the PDP terminology.
That the large chunk of the money is going to the KKK states of Katsina, Kano and Kaduna where PDP need to get a major in road if they really want to win this elections which is a matter of life and death to them.
The two phone number we got belonging to Mr. Dino Melaye were not reachable after so many attempts but efforts are in place to get to him in order to have his side of the story.
