Oyedepo, Enenche, Ibiyomie, others declare a 3-day fast and prayer for the next presidential election.

Bishop David Oyedepo of the Living Faith Church has called for a 3-day fast and prayer period leading up to the upcoming presidential election in order to enlist God’s assistance in ensuring a fair and trustworthy vote.

The drill, which is scheduled to start on Monday, February 13, according to a circular seen by our correspondent, is intended to pray against influences that could influence the election.

The Salvation Ministry’s David Ibiyomie and other ministry started by Oyedepo’s spiritual sons are expected to participate in the exercise, according to the circular.

Dr Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Center, DIGC, disseminated the information to members of his church while leading the congregation on prayer for a better Nigeria on Sunday.

In a charge that preceded the prayer for the nation, the fiery man of God lamented how the two major political parties neglected some categories of Nigerians while selecting their flag bearers.

He said the All Progressives Congress, APC, neglected the Christian community by fielding a Muslim-Muslim ticket despite the large number of Christian politicians in the North.

The man of God also chided the decision of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to cede its presidential ticket to another northerner after the region had ruled for eight years.
