Two Super Tucano jets operated by the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) as part of Operation Hadin Kai carried out airstrikes that resulted in the deaths of numerous Boko Haram members who had gathered for a conference in Gaizuwa, which is located on the outskirts of the Sambisa Forest.
Zagazola Makama, a counter-insurgency journal specializing in the Lake Chad region, was informed by sources that Super Tucano jet pilots bombed a group of more than 100 militants, many of whom were on motorcycles. Numerous terrorists suffered injuries as well.
While many of the terrorists’ motorcycles and weapons were destroyed, some of the terrorists are thought to still be at large.
It was also learnt that some of the fighters who escaped the onslaught,have laid down their arms and surrendered to the troops.
