Ahead of the highly anticipated Lagos state gubernatorial election, The ruthless officials of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA) have shed the toga of impunity for the garb of contrition.
Rattled by the possibility of power changing hands in state after the ruling All Progressives Congress lost the presidential election to Labour Party in the state and with many voters determined to vote out the ruling party, the officials have beseeched residents of the country’s commercial hub to forgive the agency for maltreating them over the years.
In a video recording, some officials of the agency were filmed dancing to the rhythm of a song “ewe orijin laja, eni aba se ko firijin wa”, meaning “whoever we must have offended, please forgive us.”
