Angry youths from Obazu Mbieri in Mbaitoli LGA, lMO State this morning blocked the Mbieri station and sanctioned the police to refrain from arresting anyone from their town because they failed to assist them in arresting kidnappers.
The youths said that kidnappers operated unchallenged in their town for over two to three hours and they blocked all the access roads to frustrate them from escaping.
The kidnappers abandoned their operational vehicles when the youths blocked all the roads and took to walking. The criminals even had to fix one of their faulty vehicles.
Since the youths had no guns, they contacted the police and begged them to come with their weapons and help them arrest the criminals, Nigerian police ran away.
In anger, the youths stormed the Mbieri police station and banned the police from arresting anyone from their town henceforth since they can’t arrest criminals.
