Traders Without PVC Denied Access Into Alaba Market (Video)

On social media, a video showing traders being turned away from the Alaba International Market in Ojo, Lagos because they did not have a Permanent Voter’s Card (PVC) has surfaced.

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), has announced that the final batch of PVC would be available for pickup at INEC Local Government Offices across the nation from Wednesday, January 25, to Sunday, January 29, 2023.

The leaders of the electrical dealers association at the market were stationed at the entrance of the market and prevented traders without voter’s cards from obtaining admission in an effort to guarantee that all vendors had their PVCs.

According to the background voice in the video, the officers are positioned to ensure that the traders obtain their  PVC before the deadline elapses.
